A medical doctor and health informatics expert driving digital transformation in African healthcare. With over 16 years of experience, he leads national projects, mentors students, and develops innovative health software to improve systems and save lives.
Dr. Patrick Rutendo Matowa
Post-doctoral fellow at UB-UZ HRTP and clinical pharmacologist at the University of Zimbabwe. His PhD research on herbal anticancer properties won awards at AMRD (2024). His post-doctoral work will focus on HIV-related cancers and ethnomedicine, advancing healthcare and supporting UN Sustainable Development Goal Three.

Public health specialist and medical laboratory scientist with over 10 years at Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Health, now pursuing a PhD in HIV Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Her research examines pharmacogenetics and neuropsychiatric effects of dolutegravir in people with HIV. With a Master’s in Public Health and four publications, she champions evidence-based interventions in resource-limited settings.
